it has been so so cold today....another day tucked up in the house, although supplies (a.k.a chocolate) are running low, so will be venturing out tomorrow....

have had a fun afternoon making cards....have been thinking for a while now of opening my own etsy shop, inspired by all the fun and creativity so many of you show.....oh and the drawfulls of vintage crockery & linens that i'd forgotten were squirrelled away in the house & found whilst cleaning....any tips & advice greatly appreciated?

i had completly forgotten that this was used in armegeddon...yes, i know it's cheesy, but it's cute cheesy, and it makes me smile! if you hadn't already guessed i'm on my travels again, and will be in hong kong & china for the next two and a bit weeks. now i know about the blogger ban in china i've come prepared, and will have prepared posts about my favourite blog reads to be published for the days i'm in china

driving in my car x

driving home this evening there was the most beautiful rainbow in the sky.....i probably shouldn't admit this, but i have a tendancy to get distracted when driving, particularly long distances, but this was such a wonderful rainbow, so clear and big, i couldn't help but stare at it in the rear view mirror, and felt like a little child, trying to get every last glimpse.....silly eh?

anyway, i've been thinking of changing my car for a while now, but can't quite decide what to have....what I really, really want, but is so impractical especially given the miles i drive each year, is a gorgeous classic car, in which i would be instantly transformed into some kind of glamorous thing who always looks divine....a little like the pics below

(ps. i would really like the tutuesque skirt & that wonderful travelling case as well as the lovely car)

i'm off again.....this time to hong kong. it's probably worth me mentioning this is a work trip, as was La - unfortunately i'm not a fabulously wealthy woman who just takes off around the world as & when the mood takes her.....mores the pity!

i'm lucky enough to have visited hong kong many times over the past 5 years.....it's such a fab place, with a strange sense of the familiar, having many british traits as a knock back from being a colony, but also being completely alien, with a language that i will never make any sense of, no matter how many times i visit.

i've never really taken the time to take photos of hong kong, but as i now have this blog i have my camera at the ready and am going to make more of an effort to get out & about so i can show the many different facets of hong kong.
