i wanted to share a lovely blog find with you all today....say hello to *hello naomi*....

....once an engineer, naomi is now a cake decorator & party stylist extraodinaire, creating wonderful cakes, cupcakes & cookies with such skill & a gorgeous eye for colour & amazing detail....so in awe of her skill & the attention to detail, not to mention lovely photography to show all those cakes at their best.....take a look here...

i have a new blog, a blog which i'm using to share my 'professional' life so to speak. my day job is being a childrenswear designer, & so much of my time is spent finding lovely images of little ones, thinking of new stories, finding gorgeous new childrenswear ranges, & it seemed silly not to share that with everyone.....so please say a big hello to lily&Bloom....who knows, maybe in the not so distant future this will be more than a blog....

it's early, very early, & i'm sitting waiting patiently for the heating to come on so that i can start making bread. there's more than one reason why i'm on a bread making mission at the moment, but i'm loving finding out different variations & this morning have decided to add a sweet twist. i'm torn between a lovely fruity raisin bread, or these wonderfully gooey cinnamon buns.....

don't they look good? i mentioned my new obsession with food blogs & sweetapolita is one of those....lots of very very pretty cakes, photographed beautifully, i'm sure i'll be posting more of rosie's lovely recipes in the future....

*missed connections* is a website that describes itself as a site which helps to improve the chances of you meeting your *missed connection*, that is anyone you've ever met, or just exchanged glances with, and want to get in touch with, but you don't have their contact details. it's a site with postings from all over, and a lot of the postings are sweet, funny, touching with a hint of melancholy & wondering.....do these people meet up...? do they fall in love & live happily ever after...?

i don't have the answers i'm afraid, but just to add a little more poignancy to these tales an artist, sophie blackall started to illustrate some of these messages and now has a blog of the same name....

at the beginning of each new season the trendbook i most look forward to looking through is *trend union* from the constantly amazing li edelkoort....as a source of beautiful images & inspirational thinking it's unrivalled. a couple of seasons ago i started to recognise the photography used from the flickr page of ijklee, which in turn led me to *a view to* her beautiful blog...postings aren't as frequent as other sites, but that seems to make you look forward to them even more....i love tiny, but perfectly formed posts and love the collages of inspiration & images she pulls from others....

i love moa's blog....it's such a gorgeous read, her blog posts make me smile & her images & photos of her house make me want to live in her house.....lace, crochet, butterflies, dotty crockery, lots of talk of candy & cake....what's not to like?

whilst i'm away in china, and unable to blog, i thought i'd write some posts to share some of my favourite blogs....i'm currently following 156 blogs {eeeek......no wonder i'm a little behind on my blog reading...!} and love all of them for different reasons, so it was quite hard to pick a few to share...i've resisted the most obvious {cup of jo, decor8} as although lovely, i'm guessing they're the first that people tend to come across when they start blogging.....

....anyhow, enough rambling....my first choice is ( oh hello friend ) you are loved....

i love, love, love danni's blog cos it's just so pretty and crammed full of really lovely things, most of which she conjurs up herself.....i was completely spoiled for choice when looking through her images & wonderful creations....her packaging ideas are just the loveliest, her etsy shop a treasure trove of the cutest brooches & jewellery, and her flickr page a haven of inspiration & loveliness....

....have i piqued your interest yet....if not take a gander at these....

end of another weekend....x

how was your weekend? mine was quietish, tidyish, a bit of cooking, a bit of reading, snow that came & went.....

have a little case of bloggers block at the moment.....or rather too many lovely things seen, and too much indecision of what to write? will be going away next week, so hope to have lots of sights and sounds to share....
